Respite facility for unsheltered adults at Mary Hall to open March 27

The location will provide 24/7 symptom monitoring, meals, security and transportation to and from the site for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Ramsey County to suspend non-emergency walk-up services through March 23

Beginning Tuesday, March 17, Ramsey County will suspend all walk-up services except for emergency and 24/7 operations. Phone-based and online services will still be available.

I-94 ramps at Dale Street close March 23 for bridge reconstruction

First presumptive case of COVID-19 in Minnesota and Ramsey County

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has confirmed Minnesota’s first presumptive case of novel coronavirus, COVID-19. The case, an older adult resident of Ramsey County, recently traveled on a cruise ship with a known COVID-19 case.

Meet Stacie Ware Joncas. A volunteer since the very first Fix-it Clinic in July 2015, Ware Joncas donates her time to be a “Runner” at the clinics, where she matches each person with an appropriate Fixer. She is a friendly face you’ve likely seen at the clinics.

Ray J’s American Grill Recycles More Than 150,000 Pounds Annually

Ray J’s American Grill, a family-friendly restaurant in Woodbury, couldn’t recycle because its trash enclosure was too small to add a recycling dumpster and the cost too great to expand it. So in 2018, Ray J’s applied for and received a grant from BizRecycling. The grant included free consultation from recycling experts and covered the cost of constructing a larger trash enclosure and adding recycling containers.

Adult Mental Health Advisory Council takes action

During the summer of 2019, Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health and Ramsey County Social Services hosted multiple Suicide Prevention Listening Sessions to hear about the community's experiences with current suicide prevention resources and ideas about how to spread awareness.

In some of the listening sessions, residents mentioned that they would like to see more information about mental health resources in Ramsey County. In response, Ramsey County’s Mental Health Advisory Council plans to help roll out a mental health awareness social media campaign.
