Battle Creek Waterworks closed for summer 2020

Battle Creek Waterworks in Maplewood will be closed throughout the summer 2020 season to help slow the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19 and protect the health and safety of the community.

Unless current social distancing restrictions are modified, the county’s swimming beaches will also remain closed and lifeguards will not be on duty at the six guarded locations. Parks & Recreation and Public Health will continue to monitor guidelines and best practices to determine if and when beaches may reopen. Opening of unguarded beaches will be evaluated later this spring.

Ramsey County is committed to providing efficient, effective and equitable operational approaches during the coronavirus pandemic.
